Ready Patron Kare Adenegan Wins Silvers at Paris Paralympics!

Karé Adenegan repeated her Tokyo success in Paris once again winning two stunning silver medals behind Hannah Cockroft in the T34 100m and 800m.

Karé started wheelchair racing after she watched Cockroft win her first gold medals at London 2012. Three years later, they would be on the same team together.

At the age of 14, she made her international debut at the 2015 World Championships in Doha, where she won a pair of bronze medals.

Those bronze medals would turn to silver, particularly in the T34 100m, where she came second to Cockroft on her Paralympic debut in Rio.

Karé would finally claim the top spot on the podium at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin, where she beat Cockroft over 100m in 17.38 seconds. In the same year, she was named the BBC’s Young Sports Personality of the Year.

As a Patron for our charity READY we would like to wish her and her teammates huge congratulations on their participation and wins!
