Dear Customer,
As you are aware, an outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has expanded out of China. According to the NHS website it’s very unlikely it can be spread through things like packages or food. However, we wanted to ensure all customers we are taking steps in order to protect our employees and customers from contracting the virus, we have put the following measures in place.
• None of our stock comes from any part of Asia.
• All employees always wash their hands when they get home or into work and all drivers use hand sanitiser gel (available in all our vehicles) if soap and water are not available.
• All our staff are aware where they can retain more hand sanitiser, and we have instructed them that if instructed by a doctor they should not come to work, and self-isolate at home.
• We can assure all customers that we will do all we can to ensure all orders go out as normal, and we cannot see any reason this shouldn’t be the case at the moment. We have a few extra members of staff available to step in if/when needed.
• Employees should continue to follow existing risk assessments and safe systems of work. There is no perceived increase in risk for handling post or freight from specified areas.
We hope you will see we are taking actions to prevent the virus in our workplace, and this will no doubt continue to evolve as we find out more information regarding the outbreak.
